Word 2007 Hangs on Start-Up

Quite often when starting Word 2007, it gives me a "Application has stopped
responding" error and shuts itself down. This happens both when starting
from an icon or by double clicking on a document. Once it does this, it
doesn't matter how many times I try it will not start. If I start Excel 2007
and close it, then Word will open properly. I have tried repairing the
install and have searched the knowledge base for documents relating to this,
but haven't had any luck. Anybody have any ideas?

Running Windows Vista Ultimate and Office 2007 Professional.

Have you installed a local, compatible printer driver? If you have and it is
