Word 2007 hangs when winword.exe is executed--Office 2007

If I run word, it opens and immediately freezes with the hour glass icon. i
can only click anywhere on the open dialog and then close the document.

If I double click on a word document to open it, word launches but will not
bring the document into the open application.

Hi Wilkie,

Have you tried repairing your Office installation? You can do this from the Windows Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs, or Programs
and Features).

Have you got a compatible, locally installed printer driver set as the
Windows Default?
