word 2007 in typing characters in half

when i type the characters type in half for example when i type O only the
lower part of it gets typed.

Check your paragraph setting. I suspect that you have set the line spacing
to a fixed pitch that is too small to accommodate upper case letter the size
you are using. Change the setting to AT Least rather than Exactly.
