Word 2007 keeps hanging

I have tried everything to fix this. Anything I do makes Word unresponsive.
It takes forever for Word to load, it hangs when I try to open a document,
paste text, close it, everything. I deleted the data folder in the registry
and I reinstalled the Office Suite. Any suggestions?
