Word 2007 Macros won't save - disappear - Normal template won't save

Hello,
I know this topic has been addressed already but I cannot find a
solution and it's high importance.

I am using Word 2007, on Vista with full install of Office 2007. I am
saving in the .docx format or the .docm format.

I can successfully record a macro and then, on the Developer tab when
I choose Macros, the macro is visible and works great. When I record
the macro, I am in a new blank .docx file. In the Macro recorder
window, it says it will store the macro in "all documents
( normal.dotm)".

All I want to do is record a basic macro and have it available to all
New Documents (please tell me how).

ISSUE: When I exit and re-open word, the Macro is nowhere to be found.

I'm not sure if it's an issue with "trust/security" settings or a
Normal.docm or Normal.docx .dotm problem.

Please help me with detailed instructions for troubleshooting this
issue or how to resolve.
Many Thanks

A macro saved in normal.dotm will be available to all documents. The issue
here is why normal.dotm is not being saved. The usual problem is
interference from a third party add-in.

PROBLEM SOLVED:
Acrobat 7 Professional was installed. It would not allow to save
Normal.dotm.
I upgraded to Acrobat 8 Professional, problem solved.
I have heard about this same issue in previous posts.
