how do I fix my address block when it keeps inserting extra blank line
inbetween the name, address, and city state zip?

If you're using the "Address Block" mail merge field, avoid it and insert
specific merge fields for the address components.

Yeah, tried that, doesn't help, still double spaced even though all format
setting I can find to check show no spacing!

Hi Gary,

What are you using for a data source and data format?

If, in your merge letter where <<Address Block>> appears, if you select that entire paragraph, right click and choose 'Paragraph',
check the 'Spacing' section to see if the box has been turned off for the setting for

'Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style'

and/or if the 'Spacing' section is set to a specfic height with 1.15 line spacing or to 'single' line spacing

then use the 'Preview results' buton on the Mailings tab.
