Hello
I am trying to use a SQL view for mail merge. When I attempt to connect, I
get two error messages that says there are too few data fields, then the Mail
Merge Recipiant dialog box opens and displays the path to the .odc data
source file rather than using it to access SQL. It is like Word 2007 is
attempting to read the odc file as a source file rather than using it to
connect to SQL. Yet, interestingly it displays the path and the header says
'data source.'
Yet, when I use the exact same ODBC dataconnection in Excel 2007, it opens
with no problems.
Has anyone else attempted to use Mail Merge to SQL 2005? Microsoft can you
duplicate this bug and do you have a solution?
