Word 2007 - Maximize, Minimize and Close Buttons at Top Freeze Men

Hi -

I installed Office 2007 Ultimate last week on my XP system.

So far (as weird as it is), everything is working fine with one exception,
in Word.

If I click any of the buttons (Minimize, Maximize and X for Close) in the
upper right-hand corner of the screen , the button itself is highlighted as
though it is selected, but nothing happens to the screen. All of Word's
toolbars freeze - I can't select any actions - but I can continue to enter
text into my document while this is occurring.

I can close Word using the Word round button in upper left-hand corner or
through Task Manager, or by right-clicking on the upper right-hand buttons,
but by clicking on the buttons as I've done forever in previous versions of
Word.

I've read a lot of posts about the multiple documents open topic, but none
of them addressed this. I have run the Diagnose tool and it found no
errors.... Any suggestions?

Hello,
Recently I began having the same issue! I have repair MS office and
Word is the only program that continues to give me an issue. Though I
cannot offer a solution, I would greatly appreciate if you could
forward any solutions to me.

Thanks!
