Word 2007 - Memory usage / hang up

Most time I run MS Word 2007, I get a "not responding" message. On the task
manager windo, I notice that winword.exe is using 50% of the memory and the
program is constantly getting hung up?
I just upgraded from Office 2003.
Any suggestions?
