In a class for college we are working on writing documentation for beginning
composition users to use when switching from Word 2003 to Word 2007. The
documentation is going to be based solely on learning how to write a research
paper in MLA format. The only problem we encountered is that when creating
the bibliography (or works cited page) the format is not 100% correct. Now
most of the time it is really close, but differences are evident when
comparing what Word 2007 displays to what any MLA handbook shows. Any strict
professor will catch this causing loss of points. Has anyone else noticed
this? Is there an easy way to make the format actually follow the real MLA
guidelines and not Words MLA guidelines? I am just wondering if anyone can
help me because the only other option is having to manually edit each
citation to make it 100% correct... in this case it would probably be just as
easy to not use the Word 2007 citation features at all?
Any help would be great... Thanks in advance
