Word 2007 multilevel lists

M

Maggielena

When I type a bulleted list which includes sub levels, the second and
following levels to not perform properly. For instance, I type my first
three lines and assign bullets to them. Every line has a bullet. Then I go
to the end of line one, enter, and then tab. This action SHOULD change the
bullet's appearance and indent the bullet to the second level, but instead
the old bullet remains at the left margin , no new bullet appears anywhere,
and there is just a tab space between the old bullet and my new typing. Does
anyone know how to correct this?

Click Office button | Word Options. In the Proofing category, click the
AutoCorrect Options button. On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, check the
option to "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces." Click OK
twice.
