I have several users who are experiencing Word 2007 not responding
when trying to access a file on a shared directory. (No one is trying
to access the same file). Current environment is Windows Server 2008
(set up as a Workgroup) and all users are running Windows Vista SP1
and also running Word 2007.
This is not consistent - but happens enough to be extremely annoying.
As a work-around, people are constantly re-booting.
This NEVER happened when everyone accessed same resources on a shared
system running Windows XP. Problem was, more than 10 people are
accessing the machine (exceeds XP concurrent user limit).
I welcome any ideas. I have seen that this is not an isolated issue -
but none of the remedies suggested have worked (i.e., Disable TCP/
IPV6, etc.)
