Hi paul,

Are you using a printer driver that supports other page sizes? Word will only offer page sizes supported by the active printer
driver.

Have you a compatible locally installed printer driver set as the Windows
Default printer? The printer driver provides Word with a list of compatible
paper size options. The Paper options have nothing to do with Word or
Windows.

its this plug and play thing mate. I thought my printer was set up correctly
but it wasn't and when i tried to instal from disc i kept getting error. So i
uninstalled the printer and reinstaled it with disc and it works now shows me
height and width of paper now but in most sizes it just gives you the size
without the paper preview. and i am not getting notified of posts from this
website i only logged back in to say i solved the problem. So can you help me
with the notify me problem now as i am not getting notified when people post
on my problems mate.

Paul

Notifications have been spasmodic at the best of times: don't rely on
getting them. I always use a Newsgroup Reader (Windows Live Mail in my
case).

What I mean is if you look through the Control Panel, Printers applet, you
should see your printers listed. One of them should have a little tick mark
against it showing it as being the Windows default printer. If it doesn't,
right click on the printer's icon and choose the 'Set as default printer'
option.
