Word 2007 Pattern Matching bug

When I try the Find pattern fe{1,}d as described in Word Help, the
message "The Find What text contains a a Pattern Match expression
which is not valid"

Hi F,

If you click on the [More] button in the Find and Replace dialog uncheck the 'use wildcards' setting when you're using the pattern
match feature to see if that clears the error.

Thanks for your response, Bob.
I haved tried the same pattern again, and ir now works! - without
removing the wildcards option. I can only think that the one thing I
didn't try after having attempted some bad patterns was to close and
restart Word. Perhaps it had somehow got stuck with an error condition
that didn't clear properly with the next search. As far as I can
remember I could make only a few patterns work, if any, but they all
seem to work now. My only woe now is that <pattern>{0,} is not
available, but that's another story!
