Word 2007 preview pane doesnt work on Windows 7

Try to use preview pane in Word 2007 as opening a document but won't working.
As I select an excel or pdf document at same time, preview pane works well.
The same problem with Excel ... as using preview pane as opening an Excel
sheet.

I found a "solution" ... if I run Word in XP SPx compatible mode, preview
pane shows Word documents ... but no Excel or PDF. This happens as I run
Excel in compatible mode: excel is visible in preview pane ... but no doc or
ppt anymore...

Waiting for the real solution.

Word 2007 docx format preview in Windows Explorer has never worked and it
isn't likely to either. But it does work with Word 2010.
