Word 2007 problem

The minimize/maximize buttons on the top right corner and the close buttons
dont' respond to any form of clicking. I can't even click it at all. Once i
click upon it, it doesn't respond and it just lags a bit until i minimize it.
Does anyone else have
this issue using Microsoft Office 2007?

Yes, I have the same problem.

Moving the pointer over the minimise/maximise/close buttons doesn't
highlight them in the normal way, but once clicked, they become 'highlighted'
in black. The application will then not close without doing a
Ctrl/Alt/Delete, although it is possible to still edit text.

The only way I have found around this is to choose the 'Exit Word' option in
the File menu.

Interestingly, the problem only affects Word 2007, not Excel, Powerpoint or
OneNote, and it's only happened within the past week - related to the Windows
Updates for Office 2007 perhaps?

Once i installed the office 2007 to my computer, i went to microsoft to
update the office. only updates were security updates. only have problems
with word 2007. other programs are fine. Can anyone help pls?
