Word 2007 problems

About a month ago Word 2007 began behaving strangely. I would randomly paste
text from one doc into another, delete parts of the doc, fail to do simple
things like move a line up by backspacing.

My daughter also began to have problems with Word 2007 at about the same
time. Any chance that Microsoft did an automatic update or patch which was
defective?

I've scanned for viruses and am clean.

Any thoughts out there?

Click on the Office button, then on Word Options and then on Proofing and
then on the AutoCorrect Options button. Then go to the AutoFormat As You
Type page of the AutoCorrect dialog and make sure that the box for "Set
left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" is not checked.
