Word 2007: References | Insert Citation -> "Invalid source specifi

Upgraded to Windows 7 using clean install.
Extensive bibliography stored using Word 2007.
Had to transfer Sources.xml file into
< %appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography >
from backup taken under Windows XP Pro.

Now find that trying to use an existing reference ("insert citation")
generates message as shown: "Invalid source specified."

Even adding a new reference to list and trying to use it fails in same way.

Ideas?

As it sounds as the tool doesn't work at all, you might have hit an
installer error during Word 2007. Try uninstalling and reinstalling (not
repairing).

I, too, have always had this problem using Word and am in a situation where I
really need to fix it. Once I have found a solution I will let you know.
