Word 2007 - Remove a TOC

Hello,

The "Remove Table of Contents" tab does not appear on my Word 2007. More
precisely, it is grey and I cannot select it.
I followed the training sessions about TOC, so I assume I do what is good
when working with TOC but this option is unreachable to me !
Is there another way to delete a TOC ? It seems that "select and delete" is
no good.

The option may only work with documents saved in a Word 2007 format.
Selecting and then deleting the TOC works just fine.

Thank you for your answer.
You are right. By default in my company, our documents are saved with
compatibility with former Word versions.
When I unchecked this option, it works fine.
