Word 2007 Ribbon missing Pictures Styles

I am trying to work with the picture styles but when I click on the pic and
then click on Format, it is missing the Picture Styles Group. I added it to
the Quick Access area but it is grayed out and unusable.

You'll get more specific attention in the Windows Word group, specifically:

microsoft.public.word.drawing.graphics

This one is for Mac Word, but what you're finding is that the Picture Styles
in 2007 cannot be applied to all types of "pictures" - it depends on image
file type - and also they can't be used in files that are open in
Compatibility Mode [.doc format (Word 97-2003), RTF, etc.] because those
file types don't support that feature set. Save the file in 2007 default
format (.docx) and you may have more success.
