Word 2007 "Save Files In This Format" seeting changes.

We are currently testing the deployment of Office 2007 in our
environment.

So far things have gone shockingly well, but we have noticed an
anomally that exists across all machines.

The setting for "Save Files In This Format" is set during the install
to be "Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)", and is also re-inforced using
group policy, but it is randomly reverting back to *.docx.

I have been unable to find any others having this issue or any
information on Microsoft Technet.

Any assistance would be gratly appreciated.
