When I save a Word document as a PDF using the Word menu item; OR send
it as a PDF attachment; any graphic elements, e.g. text boxes, graphs,
that have a drop blurred shadow appear in the PDF with an ugly thick
black drop shadow instead of the subtle greyish blurred shadow.
The shadows are fine onscreen in word 2007 and print fne when printed
from Word 2007. The problem occurs when converted to PDF and
manifests itself both onscreen and in the printed work.
What looks quite beautiful with Word 2007 looks extremely ugly when
PDF'd using the add-in PDF generator.
I think this must be a fault with the PDF encoding within Word and
presume it must be a problem within other MS Outlook 2007
applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Or is it just caused by some setting I don't know about?
Is there some hotfix or work around?
