In Word 2007, there is a feature called SmartArt that allows you to create
a hierarchial organization chart. However, once the chart is created, if
you select two objects and try to align them, all of the alignment options
are greyed/inactive. Similarly, if you select one object and try to set
its size, the size option applies only to the graphic as a whole. None of
the features seem to recognize the object selection.
Is this a major bug or extreme user error?
To duplicate:
Insert, SmartArt, Hierarchy, pick an organization chart.
Select two objects.
On the SmartArt toolbar, choose Format, Arrange, Align.
All options are inactive.
Thanks!
