Word 2007 SP2 window won't resize left

Recently upgraded Office 2007 Enterprise to SP2 (so it is 12.0.6424.1000 now)
on Windows 7 Professional x64

Since then I can't resize Word to the left without first dragging the border
to the right, once I've done this it is fine until I minimize and restore it,
at which point I can no longer resize it to te left. This is using a mouse.
[Alt+Space, S, Left, Left] works as expected, but after this it is still not
possible to resize it left with the mouse without that initial right drag.

Since you are using a VL version of Office the following below will apply

Contact the IT department at the Company,Educational Institution or Armed Services
from where you purchased your Office Enterprise VL version from
