Word 2007 Startup Performance

Hello, we plan to integrate core features of our product into Word 2007.
First Word 2007 integrations have show that the startup performance of Word
2007 including our C# AddIn is very bad.

The initialization of a "Test-AddIn" containing absolutely "NO CODE".
Without this Test-AddIn Word 2007 starts within 0.5 seconds. If the
Test-AddIn is activated, Word 2007 takes about 4 seconds. I understand the
Word 2007 will start the .NET Framework but 4 seconds to start Word 2007
including a "Test-AddIn" with no code is to bad and unacceptable. (A strong
assembly name
is used.)

A few questions:

Are there any "Real-World Intgerations" for Word 2007 out there written in
C#?
If yes do you have any references or links.

How to reduce the startup time of Word 2007 including a C# AddIn?
I am looking for an enterprise wide, automated installation of our Word 2007
integration, not a simple, single client computer installation. Our product
already
includes such a automated client installation and update mechanism. The Word
2007 AddIn has to support such a installation and update mechanism.

Is C# ready to use for desktop applications in an productive environment?

Thanks for your help and answers.
regards, dieter
