Word 2007 stops responding when I save or print

I'm using Word 2007 on a Vista Business machine. Word becomes "not
responding" when I try to save/save as/print my current document. I have
tried uninstalling and resinstalling it - same problem. Any suggestions.

Most likely a bad third party add-in. Test for this by starting Word in Safe
Mode. From Start, Run (Winkey+R) type in

winword /a

and press enter. Try opening a document, editing, saving and printing now.
