Word 2007 stops working

When closing Word 2007, I get a message, "Microsodt Word has stopped
working." Not responding. I've tried Control Panel repair of Office 2007.
Then uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Office 2007. All updates are
current. Nothing seems to correct the problem. Suggestions please!

Note that uninstalling usually does *not* help with issues like this one.
