Word 2007 using Vista will not start after I use copy

Fred

Once I highllight data in any program and say copy Word 2007 gives me an
error when I try to start it and terminates. I have to reboot before it will
start again.
The only work around I have found is to start Word right after I boot and
just keep it up.

Would you elaborate on what steps you are doing that stops Word from opening
please? From what are you copying and where are you copying it to? What
error does Word give you?

Terry,
I worked with the problem and not have a more accurate discription of what
happens. It does not appear to be from a copy and paste operation. It is
random. I can find no sequence of events that will cause it. What happens
is that when I try to start up word 2007 it starts to bring it up and gets to
the point where it shows the bars at the top and a white screen ready to type
on but before it brings up the curser the following error appears: MICROSOFT
OUTLOOK HAS STOPPED WORKING A PROBLEM CAUSED THE PROGRAM TO STOP WORKING
CORRECTLY. CLOSE THE PROGRAM AND IT WILL NOTIFY YOU IF A SOLUATION IS
AVILABLE.

Sometimes I can bring it up and down several times in a row and it will not
give me the error and it will give me the error and be ok on the next try.
Other times it will give me the error several times in a row when I try to
bring it up. Once it is up I have no problems with it.

Thanks for you help

I'd take a look at this FAQ
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm

If you have a networked printer rather than a locally installed printer, I
suggest that is where to start. Word MUST see a printer: if you have a
networked printer with a poor connection, it would explain the problem. The
solution is to install the printer driver locally.

Thanks Terry I think I have found the problem from one of your previous post.
I went in and Didabaled all my add-ins and the problem went away. I have
got all but 2 add-ins back in and working and is still ok. I assume it was
one of the two not working. One of them is a google add-in that when word
starts it gives me the
security warning bar and says I can add it in for that session only. I
believe it is because it does not have the proper signiture. Is their any
way around this? I don't really need the add-in. I just want to get around
the security bar coming up every time. The other add-in is from a program
called scansoft part of paperport that I have on my system. It was disabaled
by the system. Is there any way to enable it to see if it was causing the
problem or the google add-in. Again I can probable do without either of
these add-ins.

Thanks much for your help,

Fred
