Hi,
I couldn't find a group dedicated to Word development, so I thought I'd post
it here. Both Excel 2007 and Powerpoint 2007 now have native standalone
viewers for allowing others without Office installed to view Excel or
Powerpoint files created using 2007. However Word has been noticeably missing
from this line up. Yes the compatibility pack exists, but this simply removes
or compromises aspects of the layout of the document that are specific to the
2007 version, and so the resultant document is not acceptable, especially
when tables are used.
Does anybody have a clue if there are actually still any plans to release a
native viewer for Word 2007, or has it been abandoned? Are there any
workarounds that anybody knows of?
Thanks,
John Wood
