I have about 500 computers in My shop where we have many Dell GX280 500 mb
RAM. We are upgrading to new HP with 2 GB RAM.
We are using Office professional plus 2007
The issue on the older PCs that we are testing is that Word documents are
not opening directly. If I try to open a word document from an attachment I
get a blank page, same when trying to open a word document from a network
drive or the hard drive.
However, if a start Microsoft word first and go to open a document it opens.
This is very inconvenient especially in the case of Outlook attachments. I
have to save the attachment to the desktop, then start Word, then open the
document.
To sum it up I am unable to ever just double-click a word document and it
just open. This may be a problem with the image, but I can't re-image 500_
computers at a shot. If there is a registry fix ,script or patch that would
help that would be great.
