Word 2007 won't let me drag and drop text

Word used to let me drag and drop text but suddenly it won't let me. How do I
re-activate this capability?

i looked under advanced options and found that option "Allow text to be
dragged and dropped" but the checkbox was already checked so why doesn't mine
work?

It could indicate minor corruption of the data key in the registry - delete
or rename the Data key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
with Word closed. Then restart Word and check your Word Options settings.
