Office 2007 works on laptop with Vista. Worked OK at first on Desktop with
XP. Then opened with "recovered files; which one do you want to save?"in a
pane on the left, then shut down. Read suggestions on this discussion group,
ran repair, deleted recovered files, re-installed numerous times, removed
office 97, repaired registry.
Then after yet another install, this time I didn't enter product code
pre-installation, waited to see if it would work this time. Yippee! Opened
without "recovered file message. Program asked for product code which I
entered then Bam! the flaming thing shut down again.
