word 2007 - word cannot find its datasource

I have a number of word documents that are set up with mailmerge
datasources that are .csv files located on a local folder.

Each time I open a document set up with a mailmerge datasource I get
the following error message 'ltrname.doc is a mail merge main
document. Word cannot find it's datasource, c:\...\mergedata
\ds1.csv'.

I'm using Windows Vista Business(Version 6 (Build 6000)), Word 2007
SP2 and IE7.

Any ideas?
