Word 2007

Please HELP!!! I am running Windows Vista. My Microsoft Word ( Office
Professional 2007) has crashed! I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. To
no avail! I have looked on the Microsoft pages and have downloaded updates,
etc. I had it working for about a week and it has crashed again. When I open
my documents I get a blank screen and I go up to the ribbn icon and I can
open them from there, then they open my documents but I cannot edit them.
This transpired around April 15th after an update from Microsoft was
downloaded. I am unemployed and I need my Word for resume sending. We are
drastically in financial straights so I need a solution without a fee being
charged!! I have found somewhat of a work around on a Microsoft page but it
is not functioning anymore either!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank you so very much!

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm for help
diagnosing your problem.

However, some of your symptoms seem to be related to a corrupt Word Data
Key, usually the result of updates being installed whilst Word has been left
running. So try running Regedit, navigate to the Data Key and whilst DATA is
selected, press Delete. Word will create a new key when you restart it.

Word Data Key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
