When I open word and the new page comes up it is in centimetres. How can I
change it to inches ? I have tried page setup for a regular letter size of 8
by 11, but the only listing is also in centimetres. Can someone help ?

Can someone help ?

In Word 2003 and earlier, go to Tools > Options > General and set the
Measurements dropdown to inches.

In Word 2007, go to Office button > Word Options > Advanced > Display to
find the same dropdown.
