On an A4 sheet I want to print a 2 page booklet. Each page 12x12cm.
Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to put in the correct margin size, or
what the correct margin size should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you are using the "Book fold" option, then you are setting the margins
for a single page, that is, for A5, which is 148 mm x 210 mm. You want 120
mm x 120 mm. This allows a total of 28 mm for left and right margins and 90
mm for top and bottom margins. You will have to decide how you want to
apportion them.
