I have been charged with producing a template that Auto Opens a document, but I have also been aske to produce pop-up text windows which one would fill in the pertinent information and click ok and it would distripute the information into the template in certain places. I have got a template to Auto open a document, but I just do not seem to be able to produce the pop text box. Any suggestions?

One way is with a userform:

Another way -- but usually more annoying to users -- is a series of Ask or
Fillin fields.

I should perhaps point out that it is normal to create a new document from a
template. It is only necessary to open a document from that template if you
need a second document to process. As Jay has pointed out you need a
userform for the task of presenting a dialog for users to insert data. The
link he posted may be supplemented with another from Greg Maxey's site,
where you will also find a number of references to more sophisticated used

I have a question. My 2007 word program will not close properly. When I close the program I get a message that the program has stopped working an it automatically tries to recover my document. Then the message states the program has stopped working properly and closes. Can anyone help me?
