With the 2004 edition i always had the thesaurus, dictionary, justify etc icons in my standard toolbar which i really liked, but now i can't do that, and there are large gaps between each tool icon, Help would be much appreciated i can't seem to solve it in View-Toolbar

You can still have those on your standard toolbar...

Choose View/Customize Toolbars and Menus. Select Tools in the Categories
list box, then scroll down to find DIctionary... and Thesaurus... from
the Commands listbox. Drag them to the toolbar. Justify is in the Format
category.

What do you mean by "seems to be some sort of error", and "there is
nothing there"?

When you try to reset the menu bar are you selecting it first (sot that
the "Menu Bar" is highlighted?

Yes, it was the error i referred to before about the Command Properties, i thought it was meant to display the Fonts bar that you could drag to the toolbar. Just a passing question, do you need to have an internet connection to use the dictionary? It's annoying for me as sometimes i don't have access to a connection and Word 2004 had a built in dictionary. Thanks

You need to have an internet connection to connect to the Toolbaox's
Reference Tool pane's Dictionary panel.

For spell-check, Word's built-in dictionary and any custom dictionaries
don't require a connection.
