When I create citations inside footnotes using the built-in
bibliography manager in PC Word 07 (which is an incredibly nice app:
ribbon ftw), all is well: The cites are put in the footnote in the
appropriate short form for the style chosen -- for instance, (Surname,
year).
But when the doc is opened in Mac Word 2008 (not so nice: toolbars,
ugh) and a change is made to a citation, it suddenly jumps into the
full-out version, with no apparent way to revert it other than
converting the citation to static text (a bad result).
Is this expected behaviour?
