You may have inadvertently saved the document back as a .doc file (different
file format, doesn't support the new equation format).
If you are lucky, it will have saved in "compatibility mode", in which case,
the original equation code is still in the document.
Re-save the file again as a .docx and try. All being well, the equations
should be editable again. Sadly, confidence is "low".
Before giving up, try the document in Windows Word 2007. That uses the new
equation format, and may be able to rescue them for you.
When you get them back into Mac Word, try to ignore the blurry equations.
That's a bug. We are expecting an update around the middle of March that
may fix this for you.
Hope this helps
Hello. I'm really annoyed right now. I have a document (saved as .docx) with
many equations written with Equation Editor. Every time I reopened it, the
equations were blurry, but this could be fixed by double-clicking and closing
each equation.
However, now the equations have turned into pictures (in the blurry state),
and I can't edit the equations. I have no idea how this happened. Does anyone
have answers?
Thanks.
