Word 2008 for Mac version 12.0.1 (080305)

Hi,
I have a white MacBook running on OS X 10.4.11 with the current
version of Word 12.0.1 (080305) installed on it.

The dictionary does not work. At best, I can only get SYNONYMS of
words. When I go to Look up: the 3 options there thus Definition;
Encyclopedia and Web search, all I can get is 'No Response. This
service did not respond. Translation too, I get no response.

Any suggestions?
