It depends upon what you are working on. Can you describe the
circumstances in which Word 2004 is sluggish? Really long document? Lots
of pictures? A big picture? Charts?

No. Generally, it's a little slower

There's a few things that slow down a Word document: answer Jim's questions
and we'll see if we can speed things up for you.
