Page borders in Word 2008 do not print square. To duplicate this, create a new document, select a page border, preferably on with art, and then print.

It should be apparent visually but you can check with a right angle.

Take that same document, print in Office 2004 and it will print properly.

How can this be fixed?

Also, when you select the menu for the art borders, scrolling down it is e x t r e m l y slow. Not so in 2004.

Thank you

I should add that it also does not look square on the screen before printing.

Hi Grumpy -

I'm unable to replicate your first issue - Any Page Border I apply squares
up as expected & views properly in Print Layout View, Print Preview as well
as Apple's Preview app. I've also not seen any other reports of the same
problem, so the first suggestion is to confirm that you have the most
current printer driver. If possible, see how the doc previews/prints from a
different system using a different printer or at least select a different
printer in the Printer: list of the Print dialog.

As far as the scrolling - yeah, that seem to be a bit slow. I know that
there are several screen redraw/scroll issues with Leopard. Some were fixed
in the 12.0.1 update & more are expected in the upcoming Service Pack. If
the driver & 12.0.1 don't resolve it perhaps the SP will.
