I have installed Office 2008 on my iMac. The program functions fine except it will not open a file from 'File Open' or the Open icon. II can open a file from the Finder. An attempt to open from 'File' will produce a blank screen with vertical bars and the computer freezes - force quit the only way out.
I have installed each Office update from 12.1.0 to 12.1.4.
I have run 'Repair Disk Permissions' from Disk Utility.
Any ideas?
