Word 2k fatal error

I just got a new laptop running Win xp, when I installed
my office 2k for small business on it word works fine
except when I try to paste or print something. It gives
me a fatal error and closes the program. Here's the
technical info I got from it:

Error Signature
AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.7924 ModName:
lmpcl2a.dll
ModVer: 0.3.0.0 Offset: 0000b45f

This file looks like caused the problem I don't know
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5.tmp.dir00
\appcompat.txt

Looks like a corrupt HP PCL Printer driver. Try deleting the printer and
reinstalling it. Make sure you have the latest driver first.
