Hallo,
I have the following problem:
When openening a file from within Internet Explorer (i.e. from a page with
a link linking to a *.doc document) word opens up, load document and than
hangs if I try to close the document or word itself.
The current setup is:
Internet Explorer 6.0
Word 2000 sr-1 build 9328
XP SP2 build 2600
In My Computer/Tools/Folder Option/File Type ->DOC ->Advanced the option
Browse in the Same Window is not flagged so that files are opened in a
separate word window.
It's good to mention that:
* problem did not occur with same Word/Explorer combination with Win2K (on
a previous machine)
* problem is not occuring if same link is opened from Firefox instead of IE
* If I save the document and than close it everything works with no problems
* Documents opened from IE shows as "Readonly" next to file name in word
window title, while the one opened from Firefox shows up withour "Readonly"
Any clue on how to resolve this? Is actually driving me crazy trying to
debug it.
Thanks in advance
Diego
