Word 2K Just Blinks When Printing

I am using Word 2K on a W98 machine and have had it installed for years. It
just started this problem. When I attempt to print, the border around the
Word application blinks. It never prints and I have to end-task to force it
to stop. This does not occur with all documents.

Any suggestions?

If you are using Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.

I am using an older version of Norton (2000). It has an exclusion section
(no Office Plug Ins) and winword.exe is excluded. I also ran the fixes to
the .dll file that Symantec has to turn the Office plugins off. Still have
the problem. One other note, I print to Adobe Distiller at times and have
noticed that some documents print with courier text only in PDF even though
the Word document is Arial. This just all started about the same time.

Any more ideas?

Okay, I found the problem (sorta). My win.ini file was inadvertantly
replaced about a week ago. I restored the previous version and that solved
the problem.

Not a solution I'm afraid. It sounds like a problem I
have with Work 2000 but for me it occurs when I do 'save
as' from within a document.
