Word 2k & MS Office Forms Object Library 2.0

I have been trying to run the sample code provided in
Knowledge Base article 212730, which requires the above
object library to be checked.
I have checked the box, but the sample code falls over at
Data Object, which it doesn't recognise ("user-defined
type not defined"). When I then look at the references the
2.0 object library has returned to unchecked again.
Is this a problem with the save settings, or a bug?
I have tried running office updates and re-installing the
FM20.dll file from the disc, but all to no avail.
Getting very frustrated as this is all fine on my Word 97
at work and needed to add finishing touches to the code at
home...
