I have a funny situation here. Our office has 12 desktop units all running
either Windows XP Pro or Win2k Pro, all use Word 2k and have no problems
except one person. The local machine is running XP Pro SP2 and all updates,
with 512 MB memory, Word has all the current updates. One person that uses
this machine encounters this problem: When they try to start Word 2k they get
the following "WinWord.exe has created and error and is being shutdown by
Windows. Please restart the program. Windows is creating an error file." I
can log onto this machine under a different name and Word works fine. I have
2 questions. Number 1 where do I find the error log. I am unable to find it.
i have looked on the local machine and evidently am looking in the wrong
place. Number 2 Does any on have any idea as to why this one person cannot
load Word? They can run other office applications with no problem. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Word several time but keep coming up with the
same results. Thank you in advance.
