Word 5 anguish!

Just got my first OS X PowerBook and am deeply frustrated to find that
Word 5.1a can't print from Classic to my USB printer.

It shows the printer dialogue box and sends the text to the printer,
but the pages get fed through without text on them. Other OS 9 apps
can print from Classic without a hitch.

Can anyone suggest what's gone wrong?

Details: PB G4 Titanium, OS X.3.9, Canon Pixma iP2000

The titanium powerbook is OS 9 bootable. If you boot into OS 9 and set up
your printer using the OS 9 driver and the chooser, you should be able to
print. The Canon support website has an OS 9 driver for your printer,
consider updating if not done so already.

Problem solved
It seems there is a mismatch between Word 5 in Classic and the Canon
printer (Pixma iP2000).

I replaced the Canon with an older Epson (SC 740) and Word 5.1a printed
without a hitch.

Hard to beat the workhorse 740. I got a new printer, but still use this one
too! I found good luck buying an off-brand cartridge for only a couple of
bucks each!
